வரலாறு தெரியாது விளாசுகிறார் அமைச்சர் விதுரர்

தெற்கிலங்கையில் சைவக் கோயில்கள் இருக்கின்றன. எனவே வடக்குக் கிழக்கு இலங்கையில் புத்த விகாரைகளை அமைத்தால் என்ன? அறிவை அடகு வைத்த பின்பு வினவுகிறார் மாண்புமிகு அமைச்சர் விதுர விக்கிரமநாயக்கர்.

புத்தர் இலங்கைக்கு வந்த நாளில் முருகனுக்குத் தைப்பூச விழா. இலங்கை மக்கள் அனைவரும் கூடி எடுத்த விழா. மாணிக்கக் கங்கையில் விழா. இலங்கையின் ஆதிகுடிகள் சைவர்களே புத்தரை வரவேற்றார்கள். தைப்பூச நாளில் வரவேற்றார்கள்.

கதிர்காமத்தில் இருந்து காங்கேயன்துறை வரை நீண்ட, சிலாவத்தில் இருந்து மட்டக்களப்பு வரை அகன்ற, 66,000 சதுர கிலோ மீட்டர் பரப்புள்ள இலங்கைத் தீவு முழுவதிலும் பல்லாயிரம் சைவக் கோயில்களே இருந்தன. இலங்கை சிவபூமி.

புத்தர் வரும் பொழுது இருந்தன சைவக் கோயில்கள்.

படிப்படியாக புத்தர்கள் விகாரர்களைக் கட்டத் தொடங்கினீர்கள்.

அப்பொழுது இருந்த கோயில்களே இன்று வரை தொடர்கின்றன. புதிதாக யாரும் தென்னிலங்கையில் சைவக் கோயில்களைக் கட்டவில்லை. பழைய சைவக் கோயில்களையே திருப்பணி செய்து புதுப்பிக்கின்றார்கள். 

மதவாச்சிக்கு வடக்கே ஈரற்பெரிய குளத்தில் பிள்ளையாருக்கு அருமையான கருங்கல் கோயிலை இக்காலத்தில் எழுப்பியவர் சைவத்தமிழர் அல்ல. புத்தராகிய சிங்களவர். நீங்கள் போய்ப் பாருங்கள். மூஷிக வாகன... எனத் தொடங்கும் கணபதித் தெய்யோ மந்திரத்தைத் தன் பிள்ளைக்குச் சொல்லிக் கொடுக்காத புத்த சிங்களத் தாய் ஒருவர் இருந்தால் எனக்குச் சொல்லுங்கள்.

புத்தர் வரும் முன்பும் வந்த பின்பும் பல நூற்றாண்டுகளுக்கு இலங்கையில் விகாரைகள் இல்லவே இல்லை.

ஏதோ போகட்டும் என்று சைவர் ஆகிய நாங்கள் விகாரைகளைக் கட்ட உரிமம் தந்தோம்.

விசயன் வந்த பின்பும் அநுராதபுரம் சைவ சமயப் பிரதேசம். ஆண்ட அரசர்களின் பெயர்கள்: சிவன், மூத்த சிவன், மகாநாகன். முற்று முழுதாகச் சைவத் தமிழ்ப் பெயர்கள்.

சைவர்களின் தயவில் கட்டியவையே இப்பொழுது தென்னிலங்கையின் புத்த விகாரைகள்.

புத்த விகாரைகளைக் கட்டினாலும் அங்கே சிவலிங்கம் வேண்டும். திருமால் வேண்டும் இலட்சுமி, சரசுவதி, துர்க்கை, காளி வழிபட வேண்டும் வைரவர் வழிபட வேண்டும். தமிழ்ப் பெண்ணாகிய பத்தினியை வழிபட வேண்டும்.

எனவே நீங்கள் விகாரைக்குள்ளே சைவக் கோயில்களைக் கட்டி வைத்திருக்கிறீர்கள்.

ஏனென்றால் உங்களுக்குத் தெரியும் இலங்கை சிவ பூமி. இச் சிவ பூமியில் சைவக் கோயில் இல்லாத இடம் இருக்க விடக்கூடாது எனப் புத்தராகிய நீங்களே நினைக்கிறீர்கள்

சைவத்தமிழ் பெண்ணான பத்தினியைப் புத்த விகாரைகளுள் அமைத்தவன் முதலாம் கயவாகு.

இலங்கையில் நீங்கள் கணபதி தெய்யோ என்று நாளும் மனதாலும் உடலாலும் நெக்குருகி வழிபடுகின்ற போற்றுகின்ற பிள்ளையார் வழிபாட்டைப் புத்தரிடையே பரவலாக்கியவன் நரசிம்ம பல்லவனின் யானைப்படைத் தளபதி மாறவர்மன். வாதாபி சென்று வெற்றியோடும் பிள்ளையார் சிலைகளோடும் இலங்கை வந்தவன்.

அதே நரசிம்மம் பல்லவன் தெற்கே தேவேந்திர முனையில் தென்னாவரம் சிவன் கோயிலைப் பல்லவ பாணியில் கட்டு வித்தான் என்பதை நான் சொல்லவில்லை. மேலைநாட்டு வணிகப் பயணி Cosmas Indicopleustuas சொல்கிறார். அறிவை அடகு வைத்து விளாசுகின்ற உங்களுக்கு இந்தச் செய்தி தெரிய வாய்ப்பில்லை

முதலாம் பராக்கிரமபாகு, மகன் விக்கிரமபாகு, மகன் இரண்டாம் கயவாகு யாவரும் சைவத்தைப் பேணிய அரசர். சைவத்தமிழ்ப் பாண்டிய சந்திரகுல வம்சத்தினர் எனக் குல வமிசமே பூசா வழியே கூறுவதைப் படித்தது உங்களுக்கு நினைவில்லையா?

தென்னிலங்கையில் உள்ள சைவக் கோயில்கள் ஆதியான கோயில்கள். அவற்றை இப்பொழுது யாரும் கட்டவில்லை.

அங்கு சைவர்கள் இருப்பதால் அக் கோயில்கள் தொடர்கின்றன.

வடக்கு கிழக்கில் புத்தர்கள் 1948 வரை 4%. அவர்களுக்கான புத்த விகாரைகள் இருந்தன.

சைவத்தமிழ்த் தாயகத்தில் அத்துமீறிய அரச குடியேற்றங்களின் பின்பு அங்கும் விகாரைகளைப் புதிதாக அமைத்தீர்களே!

புத்தர்கள் இல்லாத இடத்தில் புத்த விகாரைகளைக் கட்ட வேண்டாம். சைவத் தமிழர்களின் மனத்தை நோகடிக்க வேண்டாம். இவ்வாறு வட மாகாணப் புத்த பீடத் தலைவரும் நாக விகாரைப் புத்த பிக்குவும் உங்களுக்கு எடுத்துக் கூறிய செய்தி வந்த அச்சு மை காயவில்லையே. அதற்குள் அவசரப்பட்டு உங்கள் அறியாமையை விளாசுகிறீர்களே.

தென்னிலங்கையில் சைவக் கோயில்கள் இருப்பதால் தமிழர் பகுதிகளில் புத்த விகாரைகளைக் கட்ட வேண்டும் என்று சொல்லுகின்ற உங்களுக்கும் அறிவை அடகு வைத்த புத்தர்களுக்கும் சொல்கிறேன் -- தென் இலங்கையில் சைவக் கோயில்கள் அநாதியானவை. அவற்றை இன்றைய தமிழர் தாயகச் சைவர்கள் அமைக்கவில்லை.

தவறான வரலாற்றைத் திணிக்காதீர்கள். போரில் வென்ற வீறாப்பில் புத்த மேலாதிக்கத்தைத் திணிக்காதீர்கள். 

கத்தோலிக்கரும் கிறித்தவரும் கடந்த சில நூற்றாண்டுகளில் போரில் வென்ற பின்பு சைவக் கோயில்களை உடைத்தார்கள். கிறித்தவத் தேவாலயங்களைக் கட்டி எழுப்பினார்கள்.

கத்தோலிக்கரும் கிறித்தவரும் சைவத்தமிழ்த் தாயகத்தில் சைவர்களை அழிக்க முயன்றது போல், இப்பொழுது போரில் வென்ற புத்தர்களாகிய நீங்களும் சைவத்தமிழ் தாயகத்தில் சைவர்களை அழிக்க முயல்கிறீர்கள்.

சைவர்களை அடக்க ஒடுக்க  அழிக்க நினைக்காதீர்கள். வெற்றி பெற மாட்டீர்கள்.

Minister Vidurar flaunts ignorance of history

There are Saiva temples in South Sri Lanka. So what is wrong about setting up Buddhist monasteries in North East Sri Lanka? Honorable Minister Vidura Wickramanayakar inquires after mortgaging his knowledge.

Thaipoosa festival for Murugan on the day Buddha came to Sri Lanka. A ceremony where all the people of Sri Lanka gathered. Festival in Manik Ganga. The original inhabitants of Sri Lanka were the Saivas who welcomed the Buddha. They welcomed him on Saiva holy day, the Thaipoosa day.

The Saiva temples that existed then, continue to this day. No one has built new Saiva temples in South Lanka. They are renovating the old Saiva temples.

It was not Saivattamizhar who built the magnificent black stone temple for Pillaiyar in the Iratperiyakulam north of Madavachi during postwar period. A Sinhalese who became a Buddha. You go and see. 

Tell me if there is one Buddhist Sinhalese mother who has not taught her child the Ganapathi Deyo mantra that begins with Mushika Vahana.

There were no viharas in Sri Lanka for many centuries before and after the arrival of the Buddha.

We Saivers gave permission to build viharas on compassion.

Anuradhapuram was a Saivite region even after the arrival of Vijaya. Names of kings who ruled: Shiva, Mootha Shiva, Mahanagan. Complete Saiva Tamil Names.

The Buddhist temples of South Lanka are now built with the help of Saivas.

Even if Buddhist temples are built, there should be Shiva Lingam there. Vishnu should be worshiped Lakshmi, Saraswati, Durga, Kali should be worshiped Vairavar should be worshipped. Pathini, a Tamil woman, should be worshipped.

So you have built Saiva temples inside Viharas.

Because you know Sri Lanka is Siva boomi. You, the Buddha, also consent that there should not be a place on this Shiva boomi without a Saiva temple

Gajabahu I was the first to place the Saiva Tamil woman Pathini in Buddhist temples.

Narasimha Pallava's elephant brigade commander Maravarman spread the worship of Pillayar to Buddha in Sri Lanka, where people bow their heads and worship with body and mind every day. He went to Vatabi and came to Sri Lanka with victory and Pilliyar idols.

I did not mention that the same Narasimham Pallava built the Thennavaram Shiva temple in the Pallava style at Devendra node to the south. Cosmas Indicopleustuas, an Greek merchant traveler says so. Those of you who are pawning your knowledge are not likely to know this news.

Parakramabhaku I, son Vikramabhaku, son Gajavaku II were all kings who maintained Saivism. Don't you remember reading that Kula Vamism and Pusa Vazhi that these kings were of Saiva Tamil Pandyas belonginh to the Chandrakula Sathriya dynasty?

Can you forget Gajavaku II who took refuge in Chatur Vedi Mangalam at Kanthalai?

After that, during the second, fourth, and sixth Parakramabaku eras, it can be seen in stone inscriptions that the emperors supported the Tennavara Nayanar temple and the Chaturvedi Mangalams at the southern tip of Sri Lanka. Don't you read?

Did you not read that in the stone inscriptions of the TriShingala Dambathenia, Gampola and Kotte kings, first the Buddhist Vihara, then the Chaturvedi Mangalam, then the Saivite Devalaya should be properly maintained?

The Chinese traveler Chengo worshiped and wrote an epitaph in Tamil at Koil of Thannavaram. Didn't you see that inscription is still in the Colombo museum?

Tennavaram is the temple that Ibn Battuta, a Mohammedan traveler from Morocco, was delighted to see. Not reading travelogues?

Can you tell us the history of any Tamil shaivaite demolishing  a Buddhist temple in Sri lanka?

But how many Buddhist temples did Rajasimha I, the son of the Kotte king Mayatunnai, demolish? Don't you know that there is still a painting of Dalada Maligawa of this king trying to demolish the Dalada Maligawa?

Saiva temples in South Lanka are primitive temples. No one builds them now.

Those temples continue because there are Saivas there.

In North East Buddhists were 4% till 1948. There were Buddhist temples for them.

After the excessive state settlements in the Saiva Tamil homeland, you have built new vihara temples there too!

Do not build Buddhist temples where there are no Buddhas. Don't hurt the minds of Saiva Tamils. Thus the ink has not dried on the news that the head of the Northern Provincial Buddhist College and the Buddha Bhikkhu of Naga Vihara brought to you. You rush into it and flaunt your ignorance.

I say to you and the Buddhas who have pawned their knowledge that because there are Saiva temples in South Sri Lanka, Buddhist temples should be built in Tamil areas -- Saiva temples in South Sri Lanka are eternal. They were not set up by today's Tamil homeland Saivas.

Don't impose false history. Do not impose Buddhist supremacy as a warrior who has won a battle.

Catholics and Christians over the last few centuries destroyed Saiva temples after winning wars. They built Christian churches.

Just as the Catholics and Christians tried to destroy the Saivas in the Saiva Tamil homeland, now you, the victorious Buddhas, are trying to destroy the Saivas in the Saiva Tamil homeland.

Don't try to suppress and destroy the Saivas. You will not win.
