Animal-sacrifices in places of worship

If mind takes over the body,
if mind has puristic intentions and set goals,
if mind is partially blocked from the five senses,
if ample oxygen can reach every cell of the body,
the body enjoys the bliss.

I had lost thirst.
Hunger vanished.
Sleep was overtaken.
Tiredness hid itself.
Mind became purer and purer.
Goals were set.
Mind anchored itself to the goals.

Media interviews,
TV voice cuts,
interrogative investigators form the police and the army,
inquisitive road users,
antagonistic retorters,
visits by encouraging friends,
inspiring international callers,
social media encouragements,

strong dusty winds blowing north,
ear stirring noisy vehicular traffic on the highway,
leaf spread cover cooling from the banyan tree above the head,
camaraderie couched fellow fasters,
some of them diabetic, but goal centric enough to withstand the 12 hour fasting,

a healthy exercise for the body and the soul,
using all the stored calories,
enough time to collect all rotten accumulations from various parts of the body for excretion,
this fast for 12 hours I undertook
towards creating awareness on the culturally retarding social ills of animal-sacrifices in places of worship,
helped me to work for a goal,
giving the body enough healthy infusions and
giving the mind a satisfaction of having had a God given day.

God has been kind.
