இலங்கைச் சைவர்களின் வாழ்த்துதலையும் போற்றுதலையும் ஏற்பீர்களாக.

இலங்கையின் முப்பது இலட்சம் சைவர்கள் சார்பில் இக்கடிதத்தை உங்களுக்கு எழுதுகிறேன். 

அன்பு, அறம், அருள், நல்லிணக்கம், பொறுமை, விட்டுக்கொடுத்தல் வெறும் வாய்ச்சொற்கள் அல்ல. அவை வாழ்வியல் முறைகள். சைவர்களின் வாழ்வியல் முறைகள். இன்னா செய்தார்க்கும் இனியவே செய்கின்ற வாழ்வியல் முறைகள். 

400 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்னர் இலங்கை வந்த பிரான்சிஸ் சேவியர் சிலாபத்தில் தலை காட்டவே இல்லை. மன்னாருக்கு வந்தார். மதவெறிப் போர்க்கோலம் கொண்டார். சைவர்களை முடமாக்கினார், வதைத்தார், கொன்றார். குருதி தோய்ந்த இன ஒழிப்பு வரலாற்றின் நாயகன் அவர்.

பிரான்சிஸ் சேவியரின் கொடுமைகளைச் சைவர்கள் மனத்தில் கொள்ளவில்லை. சிலாபத்தில் உடைப்பில் அவர் பெயரில் உள்ள, 1848இல் கட்டிய, தேவாலயத்தைப் பேணுவோர், பாதுகாப்போர் சைவர்களே.

சிற்றாறுகளின் முகத்துவாரங்கள் சிதறிய கரையோரம். செவ்வானத்தில் தண்ணொளிப் பிழம்பாய்ச் சூரியன் கடலுள் மறைவதைக் காணக் கண் கோடி வேண்டும். சிலாபத்துக்கு வடக்கே முந்தலுக்கு மேற்கே திறந்தவெளி இடையீட்டுக்கு அப்பால் குடிகள் நெருங்கி வாழும் உடைப்புச் சிறுநகர்.

அங்கே ஏறத்தாழ இருபதினாயிரம் மக்கள். 10 அல்லது 15 குடும்பங்களைத் தவிர அனைவரும் சைவர்கள். மகாபாரதத்தின் மாண்புறு பாண்டவர்களின் வழி வந்தவர்கள் எனத் தம்மை அழைப்பவர். திரௌபதை அம்மனுக்குத் திருக்கோயில் கண்டு தீமிதிக்கும் திருவினர்.

பிரான்சிஸ் சேவியர் பெயர்கொண்டதே அங்குள்ள கத்தோலிக்கத் தேவாலயம். அத்தேவாலயத்தில் பயன் கொள்வாரோ மிகக் குறைவு. பாதிரியாரும் வருவதில்லை.

கடல் காற்று இரும்பைக் கறளாக்கும். பழைய கட்டடச் சுவர் உடையும். கதவுகள், நிலைகள் வெயிலுக்கு வெடிக்கும். வழிபடுவோர் இருக்கை வாங்கை வண்டரிக்கும். உரைமேடையும் கட்டவிழ்ந்து சொரியும். கேட்பாரற்றுக் கிடந்த தேவாலயத்தைக் கண்டனர், உடைப்புச் சைவ மக்கள். அந்தோ! அந்தோ! அவை ஆன்மீகத்தின் அரும்பொருள் அல்லவா? எனக் கருதினர்.

அருள்மிகு திரௌபதை அம்மன் திருக்கோயில் அறங்காவலர் குழுவினர் கூடினர். அழிகின்ற தேவாலயத்தை மீளமைக்கலாமா? அழகாக்கலாமா? தம்மிடையே பேசினர். மீளமைக்கத் தீர்மானித்தனர்.

குழை சாந்தால் சுவர்களைப் பூசினர். காலம் கரைத்த ஓட்டைகளை அடைத்தனர். நிலைகளையும் கதவுகளையும் அழகூட்டிப் பொருத்தினர். வண்ணங்களைச் சுவரிலும் நிலைகளிலும் கதவுகளிலும் பூசினர். கூரை வளைகளைத் திருத்தினர். உடைந்த ஓடுகளை மாற்றினர். வழிபடுவோர் வாங்குகளை வரிசையாக அமைத்தனர். வழிகாட்டும் பாதிரிக்கு மணி மேடை அமைத்தனர். இயேசுபிரான் கருநிலையைத் திருத்தி அமைத்தனர்.

அருகில் உள்ள கட்டைக்காடு சென்றனர். பாதிரியாரை அழைத்தனர். அவர் வந்து போக வண்டி கொடுத்தனர். உடைப்பின் பத்துப் பதினைந்து கத்தோலிக்கக் குடும்பங்கள் ஞாயிறுதோறும் வழிபட வழி செய்தனர்.

சைவக் கோயிலார் கத்தோலிக்கத் தேவாலயத்தை மீளமைத்த மாண்பு. அதுவும் மதவெறியர் பிரான்சிஸ் சேவியர் பெயரிலுள்ள தேவாலயத்தைப் பாதுகாக்கும் மாண்பு. இன்னா செய்தார்க்கும் இனியவே செய்கின்ற மாண்பு. இந்த மண்ணின் சைவ மரபு அதுவே. 

இந்த நிலமும் இங்குப் பாயும் நீரும் இங்கு எரியும் தீயும் கடற்கரைக் காற்றும் விரிந்த வானும் இசைந்த ஊரே உடைப்பு. பாண்டவர் மரபில் வந்தோர் சைவப் பண்புகளைப் படிப்படியாக வளர்த்த ஊரே உடைப்பு. காலந்தோறும் அல்லன போக்கினர், நல்லன போற்றினர். பரம்பரைகள் ஊடாகச் சைவப் பண்பாட்டை வளர்த்தனர். அப்பண்பாட்டின் மாண்பே இன்னா செய்தார்க்கும் இனியவே செய்யும் மாண்பு. சைவத் திருக்கோயிலார் கத்தோலிக்கத் தேவாலயத்தைப் பேணிக் காக்கும் மாண்பு.

உடைப்பின் உள்ளங்கள் உயர்ந்த உள்ளங்கள். சைவம் செழிக்கும் உள்ளங்கள்.

வணக்கத்துக்குரிய கருதினால் அவர்களே, நீங்கள் பிறந்த இடம் உடைப்புக்குத் தெற்கே 30 அல்லது 40 கிமீ தொலைவிலேயே உள்ளது. 

நீங்கள் மேய்ப்பர். உங்களைப் பின்பற்றுவோரே கத்தோலிக்கர். 1503 தொடக்கம் 500 ஆண்டுகளாக இலங்கை மண்ணில் கத்தோலிக்கத்தை வளர்க்கச் சைவக் கோயில்களை இடித்த மரபு இடைவிடாது இன்றும் தொடர்கிறது. 

மன்னார் ஆயராக இருந்தோர் அனைவரும் ஒரே வழியைப் பின்பற்றி இருக்கிறார்கள். வெறுப்பை வளர்க் கிறார்கள் மேலாதிக்கத்தை முன்னெடுக்கிறார்கள். மதத் தின் பெயரால் வெறிகொண்டு ஆடுகிறார்கள். 

400 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பு திருக்கேதீச்சரத்தை உடைத்து மண்ணோடு மண்ணாக்கினீர்கள். 400 ஆண்டுகளுக்குப் பின்னர் மகாசிவராத்திரி நாளன்று திருக்கேதீச்சர வளைவை உடைத்து, நந்திக் கொடியைக் காலால் மிதித்தீர்கள். சில நாள்களுக்கு முன்னர் (13.09.2021) பரப்புக்கடந்தான் அருள்மிகு பிள்ளையார் கோவிலை உடைத்து இருக்கிறீர்கள். 

ஒன்றல்ல, இரண்டல்ல, நூற்றுக்கணக்கான இத்தகைய நிகழ்ச்சிகளை நான் உங்களுக்குப் பட்டியலிட முடியும்.

உங்கள் தலைநகரம் வத்திக்கான். அங்கிருந்து வரும் ஆணைக்காக நீங்கள் காத்திருப்பவர்கள், அவர்கள் ஆணைக்குக் கட்டுப்பட்டவர்கள், அதை முன்னெடுப்பவர்கள். 

இலங்கை அரசின் ஆணைகள், விதிகள், சட்டங்கள் வத்திக்கானின் சட்டங்களுக்குப் பின்பே. 

வத்திக்கானின் தலைவர்கள் போப்பாண்டவர்கள். அவர்கள் பெருமைப்படக் கூடாது, அளவுக்கு அதிகம் உண்ணக் கூடாது, ஆசை கூடாது, காமப் போகம் கூடாது, மருளும் மயக்கமும் கூடாது, பொறாமை கூடாது என ஆறு சத்தியங்களைச் செய்கிறார்கள். 

இந்த ஆறு சத்தியங்களையும் மீறிய பாவச் சின்னங்களாகிய போப்பாண்டவர்களின் பட்டியலைத் தருகிறேன். 

• Pope Stephen VI -22 May 896 to August 897; 

• Pope John XII - 16 December 955 to 14 May 964; 

• Pope Benedict VIII - 18 May 1012 to 9 April 1024; 

• Pope Benedict IX ruler of the Papal States on three occasions between October 1032 and July 1048; 

• Pope Urban VI - 1318 to October 15, 1389; 

• Pope Alexander VI - 11 August 1492 to 18 August 1503; 

• Pope Leo X - 9 March 1513 to 1 December 1521.

வழி வழியாக மன்னார் ஆயர்கள் இந்த ஆறு சத்தியங்களையும் மீறுவோரே. இந்த ஆறு போப்பாண்டவர்களைப்போலவே பாவச் செயல்களில் ஈடுபடுபவர்கள்.

மனிதம் பேணும் நியாயத் தராசின் ஒரு தட்டில் பிரான்சிசு சேவியர் தேவாலயத்தை மீளமைத்துப் பேணிக் காக்கும் உடைப்புச் சைவ மக்கள். மறுதட்டில் பரப்புக் கடந்தான் அருள்மிகு பிள்ளையாரை உடைத்து அந்தோனியார் சிலையை நிறுவிய மன்னார் ஆயர் வழிநடத்தும் கத்தோலிக்கர். 

பண்பட்ட மக்களாக உடைப்புச் சைவ மக்கள். வன்முறையைத் தூண்டி, தமிழரைப் பிளவாக்கி, மண்ணின் மரபுகளை அழித்து மனிதத்தைப் புண்படுத்தும் மக்களாக மன்னார்க் கத்தோலிக்கர்.

மன்னார்க் கத்தோலிக்கர் ஏன் இவ்வாறு பிறழ்கிறார்கள்? உரோமப் பேரரசன் நீரோ மன்னன் கொடுமைகளைத் தாங்கிய தூய பவுலரும் தூய உலூக்கரும் சைவப் பண்பாடு தாங்கிய அருளாளரே என எழுதுவார் வண. யசுவந்தராயர் Grace in the Saiva Siddhantham and in St. Paul by Joseph Jaswant Raj (s.d.b.)

மன்னார்க் கத்தோலிக்கரின் அருள்நிலையை மீட்கும் கடன் உங்களுக்கு. கத்தோலிக்கரை வழிநடத்தும் மேய்ப்பர் நீங்கள். மன்னார்க் கத்தோலிக்கர் பிறழ்நிலையை, அட்டூழியத்தைத் தொடராது நிறுத்துவீர்களாக.

இதுவரை நடந்த நூற்றுக்கணக்கான அட்டூழியங்களில் நிலைகளை விசாரித்து அவை தொடராமல் இருப்பதற்கு உரிய வழிவகைகளை ஆராய்வதற்காக உங்கள் அமைப்புக்குள்ளேயே உள்ளக விசாரணை ஆணைக்குழு ஒன்றை அமையுங்கள்.

சான்றோர் பல்கிய நாடு இலங்கை. இலங்கையின் நான்கு சமயச் சான்றோர்களை அழையுங்கள். உள்ளக விசாரணை ஆணைக்குழு உறுப்பினராக்குங்கள். விசாரணைகளைத் தொடங்குங்கள்.

• மனித உரிமைகளை மீறினர். 

• அரசியல் அமைப்பு வழங்கிய அடிப்படை உரிமைகளை மீறினர்.

• அரசின் காணிகளையும் சைவர்களின் காணிகளையும் வன்முறையால் ஆக்கிரமிக்கின்றனர். 

• அறத்தை மீறிச் சைவர்களை மதமாற்றிக் கிறித்தவராக்குகின்றனர். 

• மன்னார் குருத்துவக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் அறநெறிப் பாடசாலை போன்றவற்றின் பாடத்திட்டங்களில் சைவர்களுக்கு எதிராக வன்முறையைத் தூண்டும் பாடங்களை எழுதினர். 

• வழிபாட்டாளர்களைத் தூண்டினர். காடையர்களை அனுப்பினர். மற்றும் கத்தோலிக்கர் முன்னெடுத்த அரசு சார்பற்ற நிறுவனங்களே அட்டூழியராயினர். 

• அரசு விதிகளைப் புறந்தள்ளி அரசின் ஆட்சிப் பணியில் அரசின் பாதுகாப்புப் பணியில் மன்னார் ஆயரும் அவரின் உதவியாளர்களும் தலையிடுவர். இதனால் சைவர்களே பலிக்கடாக்கள்.

இவற்றை விசாரிக்க வேண்டும். போருக்குப் பின் 19 மே 2009இலிருந்து 13 செப்தெம்பர் 2021 வரையான அட்டூழிய நிகழ்ச்சிகளை விசாரிக்கவேண்டும். 

ஆட்சியால், ஆவணத்தால் அல்லது காட்சியால் என 800 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன் சேக்கிழார் கூறிய சைவ நீதி நெறிமுறைக்கு அமைய,

யாவற்றையும் சைவர்களாகிய நாம் வரிசையாக்குவோம்.

மன்னார்க் கத்தோலிக்கரின் அட்டூழியங்களாக, 37 நிகழ்ச்சிகளை நான் பின்னிணைப்பாகப் பட்டியலிட்டிருக்கிறேன் 

நீங்கள் அமைக்கும் விசாரணை ஆணைக்குழு முன்பு சாட்சிகளையும் ஆவணங்களையும் காணொளிகளையும் வரிசைப்படுத்துவோம்.

வணக்கத்துக்குரிய கருதினால் அவர்களே, இந்த விசாரணைக் குழுவின் பாரபட்சமற்ற முடிவுகளையும் விதப்புரைகளையும் நீங்கள் நடைமுறைக்குக் கொண்டுவர வேண்டும். 

நீங்களோ வத்திக்கானோ இதில் நடவடிக்கை எடுக்காவிட்டால், சைவர்களாகிய நாங்கள் இத்தகைய விசாரணை ஆணைக்குழுவை நியமிக்குமாறு இலங்கை அரசைக் கோருவோம். 

அவர்களும் எங்களுக்குச் செவிசாய்க்காவிடின், நீங்கள் ஏற்கனவே இலங்கை அரசின் மீது குற்றங்களைச் சுமத்தி ஐக்கியநாடுகள் மனித உரிமை ஆணையத்துக்குப் போவதாகச் சொல்லி இருக்கிறீர்களே. உங்கள் வழியைப் பின்பற்றி நாங்களும் ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் மனித உரிமை ஆணையத்துக்குச் செல்ல உள்ளோம். 

உடைப்பு ஊரின் நல்லிணக்கப் பண்பாட்டின் விரிவாக்கமாக இலங்கைத் தீவு மாற வேண்டும். உடைப்புச் சைவரின் அன்பு, அறம், அருள், இணக்கம், தேசியம், விட்டுக்கொடுப்பு யாவும் இலங்கை மக்கள் அனைவருக்கும் பொதுவாக வேண்டும். உடைப்பு முன்னுதாரணமாக உள்ளதே.

சைவத் தமிழ்ப் புலவர், பரிபாடல் நூலில், யாம் இரப்பவை பொருளும், பொன்னும், போகமும் அல்ல நின்பால் அருளும், அன்பும், அறனும் என 2500 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்னரே சங்க காலத்திலேயே முருகனிடம் வேண்டினார். 

அந்தப் பராம்பரியமே உடைப்பு மக்களின் அரும்பெரும் சொத்து. அக்கோரிக்கைகளே இலங்கை மக்களின், இலங்கை மண்ணின் மரபுசார்ந்தோரின் வாழ்வியலுமாகும். எனவே உங்களின் விசாரணை முன்னெடுப்புகளுக்கு இலங்கையில் உள்ள சைவர்கள் ஆதரவாக இருப்போம்.

மீண்டும் சைவர்களின் நல்வாழ்த்துக்களையும் போற்றுதல்களையும் வணக்கங்களையும் உங்களுக்குத் தெரிவித்து விடைபெறுகிறேன்.

Your Eminence,

Dear Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith,

Greetings from the Hindus of Sri Lanka.

I am writing to your eminence on behalf of the 3 million Hindus in Sri Lanka.

Amicability, tolerance, accommodation are not merely empty words for Hindus. These words are their way of life. Hindus have been taught to repay evil with kindness.

Francis Xavier never visited Chilaw in Sri Lanka. His infamous Mannar Inquisition and the consequent loss of limbs and lives of Hindus are written with blood in Sri Lankan history.

However, Hindus, ignoring the historical evil deeds of Francis Xavier, are contributing to the welfare and maintenance of a church bearing his name at Udaippu near Chilaw. This church was built in 1848. 

Uadippu is an isolated village on the seashore inundated with mouths of river-lets. Around 20,000 inhabitants are peripherating the historical Arulmiku Draupathai Amman temple. The inhabitants claim ancestry to Paandavars, characterized in the immortalised south Asian epic Mahaabaarathaa.

There are around 10 to 12 Catholic households at Udaippu. All others are Hindus. Even those Catholics are sincere devotees of the Amman temple because they claim their ancestry to characters in the mythological Mahaabaarathaa.

St. Xavier’s Church at Udaippu went into disuse. Kaddaikkadu parish priest took little interest in servicing the Udaippu Catholics because of their hybridity. The building had cracks. The paint had worn out. The benches and the pulpit were moths eaten. Metallic material had corroded with the saline-laden wind.

Arulmiku Draupathai Amman temple trust took over the maintenance of the St. Xavier’s Church. Interestingly, a Hindu temple began taking care of a Catholic Church and that named after the inquisition kingpin! Walls were cemented. The building was painted. Windows and doors regained their decorativeness and paint. The entire furniture, with benches for the lay and pulpit for the cleric was re-laid.

Arulmiku Draupathai Amman temple trust went further. They met the transport costs of the Kaddaikkadu parish priest to come and conduct services for the Catholics on Sundays. 

A few decades ago Kaddaikkadu priest acquired a vehicle to travel. However, to this day, Arulmiku Draupathai Amman temple trust contributes to the upkeep and maintenance of the church. Arulmiku Draupathai temple trust conducts free bus service to Chilaw. The Catholics in the village enjoy the same service as the Hindus.

Magnanimity is not merely a word for Hindus. “Love thy neighbour irrespective of his/her caste, creed or faith” is not merely an empty saying for Hindus. Since the Raamaayana / Mahaabaarathaa period, this sand, this soil, this water, this skyline, this sea, these plants, these animals all have jointly and severally nursed, nurtured, and shaped to evolve a culture and tradition to synthesize as faith or belief or religion, that is Hindu. 

Your Eminence is at the top of the hierarchy of the Catholic Church in Sri Lanka. Your Eminence, Cardinal Albert Malcolm Ranjith Patabendige Don, Archbishop of Colombo hails from a village nearly 30 to 40 km south of Udaippu as the crow flies. You are the shepherd, to a herd, which has jointly and severally nursed, nurtured, and shaped to evolve a culture and tradition to synthesize as faith or belief or religion based on hate, violence, aggressiveness. 

So much so, your lieutenants at Mannar, the Bishops, preside over a flock that had periodically uprooted Hindu temples and structures, and brazenly sent hoodlums and hooligans to attack innocent Hindus.

Bishops of Mannar (the incumbent, predecessors and those in charge) reminds us of the infamous Popes of Vatican, who violated all the six oaths of Papacy: No pride, No gluttony, No greed, No Lust, No sloth, No envy.

Those infamous Popes are: 

• Pope Stephen VI -22 May 896 to August 897; 

• Pope John XII - 16 December 955 to 14 May 964; 

• Pope Benedict VIII - 18 May 1012 to 9 April 1024; 

• Pope Benedict IX ruler of the Papal States on three occasions between October 1032 and July 1048; 

• Pope Urban VI - 1318 to October 15, 1389; 

• Pope Alexander VI - 11 August 1492 to 18 August 1503; 

• Pope Leo X - 9 March 1513 to 1 December 1521.

If one puts Udaippu in Chilaw on one pan, and Parappukadanthan in Mannar (where a historical Pillaiyaar temple, sacred to the Hindus, was defiled and destroyed to be replaced by a statue of St. Antony on 13th September 2021) on the other, the scales of civilisation and humanity will tilt in favour of the jointly and severally nursed, nurtured, and shaped culture and tradition that synthesized into faith or a belief or a religion, named Hindu.

We in Sri Lanka, whose aspirations are to perpetuate love, amity, and peace, not only among humans but also among animals, plants and the non-living healthy environment, want the entire island transformed into an Udaippu.

Your Eminence, Dear Cardinal Albert Malcolm Ranjith, you have the duty to appoint an internal commission (whose members shall be equi-centered impartial legal luminaries drawn from all the four religions in Sri Lanka), to inquire into, 

1. All the abuses of human rights, 

2. Violations of fundamental freedom,  

3. Forceful encroachment of the state and Hindu lands, 

4. Unethical incentives towards the conversion of Hindus to Christianity, 

5. Illegal interferences to bypass and violate statutes, regulations, and enactments in the functioning of the state administration and security apparatuses,

6. Unchristian coaching and teaching promoting hatred, violence, and aggressive tendencies through syllabuses at seminaries and moral schools,  

by the successive Bishops of Mannar and their team of priests, lay-persons, hoodlums, hooligans, and church-supported non-governmental organizations, during the period spanning from 19th May 2009 to 13th September 2021. 

We Hindus are prepared to line up witnesses supported by documentary and audio-visual aids to bring to the notice of the commission of at least 37 instances, (See Appendix) not to list those hundreds of undocumented irritations and intrusions.

If the Cardinal fails to work towards love, amity and peace through implementing recommendations / conclusions of such an impartial enquiry commission, we Hindus will seek the intervention of the Government of Sri Lanka in appointing a high-level commission of inquiry on the same lines suggested as above, to go into the listed accusations by Hindus.

If the Catholic Church fails us and if the Government also fails us, your Eminence, Cardinal Albert Malcolm Ranjith have shown us the direction and pathway to be followed to present these nefarious matters before an international inquiry, supported by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Human Rights Council Branch - Complaint Procedure Unit.
